So, the weekend of no return, well it went well.

On friday I worked a 5 hour shift (10 - 3) getting paid double time and a half, which I have no opposition too. After that I contected Bones, Gaz and Luke, asking if they'd like to go to intencity (local gaming arcade).

Everyone was pre-occupied except for Bones, who accepted graciously and brought his girlfriend, Sarah (the one in the photo with Jacs).

I had previously planned to go to 'tencity from 7 - 11 to rip up the Dance Dance Revolution mat, but Bones could only stay till 9, which just meant I had to bus it back. No biggie. 'tencity was ratehr uneventful in itself. I ended up playing DDR for a good while with a lovely young lady, who then returned to her boyfriend (damnit) and at 11 started my way down the highway.

After checking the bus timetable and seeing it came in half an hour I figured I'd walk down the highway had about 45 minutes of walking ahead of me. After about half an hour I come to a bus stop and decide to play it safe and sit down. There was a man already at the stop, fair enough I thought, it's a but stop. We're all entitled to wait for bussess. So I sit down an the edge furthest from him and continue to listen to my music.

I look around at my surrounding, the man beside me pulls out a hot dog and starts eating. I sort of go into a daze and just think about how nice the weather is. Then he punches me, in the face. Knocing my headphones clean off me (I have an awesome set of cans)

"What're you lookin at"  (you're going ot ahev to imagine the bogan drunken slur yourself)
"Nothing"
"Shut up, i'll fuckin kill ya, take you out to the desert" (motions behind himself)

Take note, that we are no where near a desert.

I'm shaken up. I'm a skinny nerd whos only defence is words. When someones first instict is to punch you in the face then I am at an automatic disadvantage. I sit there for the longest 15 minutes of my life, trying my hardest not to lok at this smoking, spitting, hacking yobbo and praying he doesn't have a knife. Anyway, bus comes, we get on, no more assault.

Saturday morning starts as most Saturdays do, with me waking up and turning on the computer to see when people are getting here. Everyone ends up turing up around 1 and we settel in for some Guitar Hero and Guilty Gear XX. Gaz has bought over his 360 and Saints Row, which is a goddamn hillarious game. No seriously, try it.

After about an hour of just some straight up gaming I go and check the movie times for Clerks 2. 2:50 is the next session and we make plans to leave for it in time. Which we do, then we go and see Clerks 2, which is a must see movie, for everyone.

Everyone gets back to my place and we all retire to our consoles and PC's and play games till the wee hours of the morning. Finished up the night with Zato Ichi (a movie) and everyone crashes where they can.

Sunday I wake up, after a good 5 hours sleep, to find Jacs and Gaz (dating) playing Saints Row. Luke's gone to do Molten Core on WOW and Bones went home Saturday evening. Gaz and I spend most of the day playing Saints Row and we set up the Dead Rising demo to downlaod while we check out if I have anything new on the PC.

After flash animations, movies, video clips and 2 episodes of Black Books we return to the console to find out demo done. Then, we set in for some zombie killing. Which, by the way, is so goddamn fun and hillarious. So fun I swore to buy a 360 in time for that game.

Now, to today, the monday. I get up at 4am, as I do every monday, to get to work at 5. Work untill 3 and come home with a burning desire to spend cash. I call up Gary, find out he's on his way hoem from work. And ask him if he won't mind picking me up so I can go out and buy a 360, we need to stop by at Jac's anyhow so I can get my original XBOX to trade in.

We get to EB with an XBOX, 3 controlls and 15 games of which to trade in. But somethings gone amazing right. Seeign sa this is the opening week for this eb we get an extra 20% on al trade in's. Which is nothign to scoff at really. Especially when they do the math wrong and end up giving you 200% without realizing. I picked up an XBOX 360 for $168...

$168 down from $648

Needless to say, I'm in a good mood.

A weekend to remember
A weekend like no other
The weekend... OF NO RETURN

This Saturday the house is mine, this Friday is a public holiday. This is how it's going down.

We shall start Firday night with intencity (DDR and Arcade games) flowing nicely into saturday when we start off by setting up 3 TV's, 5 computers, 2 PS2's a DVD player and a pleatora of otehr consoles.

Cue the watching of Clerks at 1pm. After that we head on down to Pacific Fair and catch Clerks 2 (a movie I have already seen 5 times illictly) and enjoy ourselves immensely. Back to my place where we watch any movie I own and TV shows (Scrubs, Black Books, Boston Legal) play Guitar Hero in the lougne room and host Guilty Gear XX: #Reload rounds in the sitting room.

On the PC's Warsow, a fast paced FPS and The Hidden, a tactical FPS shall be played with no mercy.

All while consuming Pulse (gurana and vodka) and backed by the heaviest of metals.

It shall be amazing, and there shall be pictures.

Listening to: Dream Theater - Under a Glass Moon

Ah, welcome, and I hope the internets will come to see this page.

Introductions are in order, my name is Caleb, I live in Australia and I’m 19 years old. I work a shitty full time job at a supermarket but this is soon to change dramatically. Where to begin? Lets just start from the present, and the past will be soon to come.

I just got back off of 2 weeks holidays today, on those 2 weeks I was undertaking a course in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. A job with high reward and risk paramount. Something I can really get into. Had to take this course in Brisbane (about 2 hours from where I live, 4 hours by public transport) which was much fun (and commuting) And an excellent investment for those interested.

The course only ran for 5days, Wednesday through Sunday, and while it seems short I still have 60 hours of online tuition to finish. Which really shows how much the internet is now integrated with our everyday lives. Anyway, onto the interesting part. After the Sunday session a few of us from the course went out
for drinks and Gilhooleys, an Irish themed put in central Brisbane. Many pints were consumed (of Carlton Draught myself) but after about the first 3 a woman approached out table.

"Hi, I’m with 3 minute angels. What we do is give massages to you, and then you pay us what you think it's worth"

This piqued my interest, while my comrades ducked out for a smoke I took her up on this.

"You're worth $10 right now, but I'm sure you can do better than that, so lets get to it."

And so she did. And let me tell you, a massage while sitting at your bar stool, holding a pint is better than sex. Her nimble fingers played such a swansong across my back that she walked away with $20 for 5 minutes of hand work. From now on, I'm pub crawling in Brisbane alot more often.

Commuting home was a breeze, tho if my stop wasn't the last I would have cruised right past it, as, in my inebriated state, I fell asleep on the train. Something I find hard to do.

Most of the next week was uneventful and consisted of me being a lazy fuck and laying around at home. Then I went to Brisbane with my girlfriend on Friday to do some shopping. She ended up with $150 of anime themed clothing, and $50 worth of Saiyuki DVD's, whereas I walked away with my new Kasumi figure (check out the gallery) which set me back $90. Then a weekend full of a whole lot of nothing much and now here I find myself.

Hope I didn't bore you out of your seat, but there will most likely me many more stories to come.

Laters.
